Fedora 21 Skalowanie Cpu Nie Działa

Witam,

 

ustawiłem sobie politykę skalowania CPU tak aby na baterii CPU nie wychodził ponad 1,5GHz. Niestety to nie działa :

niezależnie czy zarządcą będzie powersave czy performance skalują sobie jak chcą wg limitu hardware a nie policy, którą napisałem

 

[michalp@localhost ~]$ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
1500000

 

 

o co może chodzić  ?

That's correct. This issue has been discussed here on the forum in the past. With modern Intel cpu's, the cpu itself will always determine the actual frequency to use. The cpu frequency and power level is very dynamic (can change hundreds of times in a second) so what you see as the "current CPU frequency" using cpupower is only a momentary snapshot. Actually, cpupower can't even begin to keep up the actual frequency changes.
