Dysk Twardy Co Kilka Minut Wyłącza Się - Co Z Tym Zrobić?

Witam

 

Zauważyłem, że od jakiegoś czasu podczas pracy na Fedorze 21 dysk twardy bardzo często wyłącza się aby po kilkudziesięciu sekundach ponownie się włączyć. Objawia się to tym, że na czas tego wyłączenia komputer tak jakby zamarzał na kilkanaście sekund i wracał do życia, poza tym wyraźnie słychać wstrzymywanie i wznawianie pracy napędu. Sprawa jest o tyle dziwna, że na tym laptopie problem nie występuje z poziomu Windows 8.1 lub innej dystrybucji np. openSUSE. Czy są jakieś ustawienia w Fedorze, które odpowiadają za obecny stan rzeczy? Obawiam się, że po takim dłuższym zachowaniu mój dysk padnie.

Faktycznie dysk WD. Chociaż do tej pory nigdy nie miałem problemów z wcześniejszymi dyskami z WD...

Musisz wyłączyć lub zwiększyć czas bezczynności po którym dysk parkuje głowice (domyślnie 8 sekund).

Słuzy do tego polecenie hdparm z opcją -J np.

hdparm -J /dev/sda sprawdza jaki czas jest ustawiony.

hdparm -J 0 /dev/sda  wyłącza parkowanie całkowicie, dodatkowo trzeba podać opcję --please-destroy-my-drive.

Możesz oczywiście podać inny czas w granicach do 300 sekund.

Zalecam zapoznanie się przed uzyciem z manualem do hdparm.

Możesz również użyć oryginalnego progamu producenta dysku wdidle3.exe

Ustawiłem sobie ten parametr zgodnie z tym co napisałeś ale wygląda na to, że dysk jest fizycznie uszkodzony ponieważ to nic nie dało. Już pisałem do sklepu, w którym kupiłem laptopa i czekam na odpowiedź. Liczę na to, że mi go wymienią zamiast naprawiać (chociaż nie wiem czy naprawy są opłacalne) ponieważ nie chcę czekać na laptopa ponad 2 tygodnie.

Jeżeli problem nie występuje na innym systemie to nie koniecznie musi być to wina dysku. Jeżeli aktualizujesz system regularnie, to na Twoim miejscu spróbowałbym użyć innego kernela(jak najniższego się da).

Ok, spróbuję tylko proszę o podpowiedź w zainstalowaniu najniższego kernela, bo jak najwyższy to wiem, ale nie wiem w drugą stronę :)
